Senior Appointed to 2017 USRowing U19 CanAmMex Team


Rising senior oarswoman Anna Glasgow was invited to attend the 2017 United States Junior National Team Selection Camp, in New London, Connecticut. After 3 weeks of grueling competition and selection, she has been named as one of the top U19 rowers in the country! Advancing from the original group 36 girls from across the country who were invited competed, Anna was appointed to the 2017 CanAmMex Team that raced as representatives of the United States.

The CanAmMex Regatta, held this summer in Victoria, British Columbia, brought together the top developmental junior athletes from Canada, America, and Mexico for high-level international competition. Anna competed with her teammates placed 1st in the Women’s 2x, and placed 2nd in the Women’s 4x.

After competing in Canada, Anna and her teammates travelled to Cincinnati, Ohio to compete in the 2017 USRowing Club National Championships. She competed in 4 events over 5 days of racing, contesting a full progression of heats, semi-finals, and final, racing the 2,000m course 11 times. This alone is an extraordinary feat of athleticism. Anna and her teammates placed 1st in the Womens U19 2x, 2nd in the Women’s Intermediate 4x, and 2nd in the Women’s U19 4x.
