Founders Seniors Commit to UC Schools

Founders Rowing Club is excited to announce this year’s Senior Athlete College Commitments.

Maile Nelson will be attending UC Berkeley and Sophia Rhodes we be competing at UCLA. Nelson and Rhodes are 2022 and 2023 State Champions in multiple events, and were both in the quad that finished 7th in the nation last Spring.

Both athletes will graduate from Southlake Carroll Senior High School this spring, where they are both members of SASO and NHS. Before fully committing her efforts toward rowing, Sophia was a varsity basketball player for the Southlake Carroll Dragons. Maile spent most of her childhood competing in gymnastics, but ultimately found her passion in rowing and never looked back.
