Learn To Row - May 2023
Contact us to find out upcoming start dates, or to schedule an independent clinic for groups or individuals.
Founders is excited to announce our Spring 2023 2-day Learn-to-Row mini-camp for newcomers! While in past years our LTR camps & clinics have traditionally run four consecutive days (which is a lot for a total beginner), we have found that recent participants have benefitted from participating in one or two separate 2-day mini-camps. This May, the camp details are as follows:
When: Saturday, May 13 - 9:30 - 11:30
Sunday, May 14 - 9:30 - 11:30
Where: Mullen Boathouse
2827 Shorecrest Dr
We welcomed 8 novice rowers from these camps last summer, and each have advanced so much that they earned state championship medals in Waco last week!
If you are not able to attend this specific weekend, please contact us with interest.
About Learn to Row
Learn to Row is a 2-day or 4-day program designed for the true beginner...no experience necessary! The purpose of the Learn to Row program is to introduce athletes to the sport of rowing in a fun and engaging environment. Athletes will begin to develop sound fundamentals and necessary skills including posture, balance, control, timing and touch throughout their Learn to Row.
Athletes participating in our Learn to Row program will learn the basics of the rowing stroke, rowing terminology, equipment handling, and basic in-boat skills relating to body position and movement sequencing. The program is designed to optimize your understanding of rowing mechanics, and the introduction of new motor skills. Our goal is to provide all participants with the essentials they need to be safe, self-sufficient, and confident while rowing.
Groups and Individuals are welcome!
