A Fantastic Start to Spring Season

Founders Rowing Club competed this past weekend, March 1-2, 2014 at the Heart of Texas Regatta on Lady Bird Lake in Austin, Texas, earning Gold medals in three events - Women's Varsity Double of Cece Turner and Tirzah Pool; Women's Novice Quad of Helen Williams, Katherine Fraiser, Allie Touchstone, and Emily Royal; Women's Novice Single of Tirzah Pool - and earning a Silver medal in one event - Women's Novice Single of Katherine Fraiser. Of note, three of the top six finalists in the Women's Novice Single event were FRC athletes.

While poised for success in a second day of racing that was to include FRC entries in Women's Varsity Singles, Women's Lightweight Doubles and Singles, and Women's Novice Doubles, the competition was cut short due to incliment weather.
